Safety

NervoMax Side Effects: What to Watch For

Quick answer

NervoMax side effects come from its ingredients and are mostly mild, but a few need care.

Bacopa may upset the stomach, ginkgo may raise bleeding risk, and green tea extract has rare liver reports. Too much vitamin B6 can cause numbness and tingling.

Check who should ask a doctor first.

What are the side effects of NervoMax?

No study of NervoMax has tracked side effects, so the only guide is its nine ingredients. Most have known problems, usually at doses larger than a 600 mg blend could hold. The exception is vitamin B6, because its amount is unknown.

Known side effects of NervoMax ingredients, from NIH, FDA and published reviews
IngredientPossible side effectWho is most at risk
BacopaMore frequent stools, nausea, cramps (StatPearls, Bacopa)Sensitive stomachs
GinkgoMay raise bleeding risk (NCCIH, Ginkgo)People on blood thinners or facing surgery
Green tea extractRare liver injury, usually 1-6 months in (LiverTox, Green tea)People with liver disease
Cinnamon (type not stated)Cassia carries coumarin, a liver concern (NCCIH, Cinnamon) (BfR, Coumarin)Liver disease, diabetes medicine
Himalayan pink saltAdds sodium (FDA, Sodium)Salt-restricted diets, heart failure
Bilberry leafLeaves may be unsafe in high doses or long-term (NCCIH, Bilberry)Long-term users
Vitamin B6Numbness, tingling, unsteady walking in excess (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6)Anyone taking other B6 products

Lutein and vitamin B12 are generally well tolerated. The salt dose is small next to the 2,300 mg daily sodium limit, but it is still sodium.

The main concern

Can NervoMax cause numbness or tingling?

It could, if your total vitamin B6 gets too high. Excess B6 causes sensory peripheral neuropathy: numbness, tingling and burning in the hands and feet (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Those are the very symptoms NervoMax is sold for.

Harm is not limited to huge doses. Australia's TGA has seen cases below 50 mg a day (TGA, B6 alert 2022) and counted 250 reports by October 2025 (TGA, B6 update 2025). New Zealand found cases at lower doses taken for a long time (Medsafe, B6 2025). Dutch reports involved products with 1.4 to 100 mg per tablet (van Hunsel et al., 2018).

Vitamin B6 benchmarks come from the NIH fact sheet (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6) and Australia's TGA (TGA, B6 alert 2022). NervoMax does not print its B6 amount, so you cannot place it on the first chart. The second chart shows that three of the nine ingredients alone, at study doses, would need most of the whole blend.

The good news: B6 nerve symptoms usually improve after the B6 is stopped (Muhamad et al., 2023). The problem is spotting it. Someone whose tingling slowly worsens may take more of a nerve supplement, not less.

Protect yourself

How can you avoid too much vitamin B6?

Add up every product you take that lists B6, then ask the maker for the NervoMax figure. A blood test can show a high B6 level; one Australian lab study found high levels in about 39% of samples (Daley et al., 2023).

  1. List your B6 sources

Multivitamins, B-complexes, magnesium tablets, sleep and stress formulas.

  2. Ask for the number

Call +1 (302) 200-3480 and ask for the B6 amount per capsule.

  3. Show your doctor

Bring the bottles and the figure. Ask whether a B6 blood test makes sense.

The full background is on the vitamin B6 page.

Medicines

Does NervoMax interact with medications?

Several ingredients can. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before you start if you take any medicine in the table.

Nadolol, atorvastatinGreen tea extractLower drug levels (NCCIH, Green tea)
Diabetes medicinesCinnamonUnclear blood-sugar effect; cassia coumarin (NCCIH, Cinnamon)

Example: a 70-year-old on warfarin and atorvastatin has two possible problems in one capsule. That is a pharmacist conversation before the first dose.

Who should skip it

Who should not take NervoMax?

The label itself asks pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and people with a known medical condition to consult a physician first. Several more groups should ask before starting.

  • Anyone already taking B6 in another product
  • People with liver disease or a past liver problem
  • Anyone on blood thinners or due for surgery
  • People on a low-sodium diet
  • Anyone with unexplained numbness not yet checked by a doctor

Before you take it

NervoMax is a dietary supplement, not a drug. Ask your doctor first if you take blood thinners, diabetes medicine, metformin, acid reducers or heart medicine, already take a B-complex or other vitamin B6 product, have liver disease, or are pregnant or nursing. See side effects and cautions.

Urgent

When is numbness an emergency?

Call 911 if numbness comes with weakness, confusion, slurred speech, vision changes or loss of bladder or bowel control (MedlinePlus, Numbness). These can be signs of a stroke or spinal problem.

See a doctor soon for numbness that is new, spreading, one-sided, or follows an injury. With diabetes, check your feet daily (NIDDK, Foot care).

Reporting

How do you report a side effect from NervoMax?

Stop taking it, get medical care if needed, then report it to the FDA. Reports help regulators spot problems, because supplements are not approved before sale (FDA, Using supplements).

  1. Keep the bottle

Note the lot number, expiry date and how many capsules you took each day.

  2. Report to the FDA

Use the FDA Safety Reporting Portal or MedWatch online. You, a family member or your doctor can file it.

  3. Tell the seller

Call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID.

Include what happened, when it started and every other product you were taking.

FAQ

NervoMax side effects FAQ

What are the side effects of NervoMax?

Possible side effects come from its ingredients: stomach upset from bacopa, bleeding risk from ginkgo, rare liver injury from green tea extract and nerve symptoms from too much vitamin B6. NervoMax itself has never been studied, so how often these happen is not known.

Can vitamin B6 in NervoMax cause nerve damage?

It can if your total B6 is too high. Excess B6 causes numbness and tingling, and cases have been reported below 50 mg a day. NervoMax does not print its B6 amount, so ask the maker and count your other B6 products.

Can I take NervoMax with a blood thinner?

Ask your doctor first. NervoMax contains ginkgo, which may raise bleeding risk with warfarin and other blood thinners. Stop it before surgery and tell your surgeon you were taking it.

Is NervoMax bad for your liver?

Liver injury from green tea extract is rare and mostly linked to concentrated capsules at higher doses. Cassia cinnamon also carries coumarin. If you have liver disease, ask your doctor first, and stop if you notice yellow skin or dark urine.

Can I take NervoMax with metformin?

Ask your doctor first. Metformin can lower vitamin B12, and low B12 causes numbness on its own. A blood test can show whether you are low. Cinnamon in the blend may also matter if you take diabetes medicine.

Does NervoMax cause stomach problems?

It might. Bacopa, the third ingredient, commonly causes loose stools, nausea and cramps in studies. Taking the capsules with food may help, though the label does not mention food. Stop if symptoms continue.

What should I do if tingling gets worse on NervoMax?

Stop taking it and call your doctor. Worsening tingling can be a sign of too much vitamin B6, and it usually improves after stopping. Get emergency care if weakness, confusion or trouble speaking appears.
