How it works

How Does NervoMax Work? Inside the 600 mg Blend

Quick answer

NervoMax supplies one 600 mg blend of nine ingredients in a 2-capsule serving, made to support healthy nerve function.

The blend mixes vitamins, herbs and extracts. It is a supplement, so it works alongside your doctor's care, not in place of it.

The product

What is NervoMax, physically?

NervoMax is a capsule dietary supplement. Vitalifes is the brand name on the bottle. Each white bottle holds 60 capsules, with a violet label and a thin gold rule.

Two capsules make one serving, and a bottle holds 30 servings. Inside each serving is the Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 600 mg in total. The rest of the capsule is filler: Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate, Silica Dioxide.

The claim

What does the NervoMax label say it does?

The label says NervoMax may "help support healthy nerve function." It also offers "relief support for: discomfort, tension, occasional numbness & tingling sensations." Both lines carry a star. The star points to the standard FDA statement: these claims were not evaluated, and the product is not meant to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.

Brand art goes further. It calls NervoMax a "brain booster" for stress, mood and calm, and claims better memory, intelligence and energy.

FDA does not review supplements for safety or results before they go on sale (FDA, Using supplements). Under FTC rules, a health claim needs competent and reliable scientific evidence behind it (FTC, Health claims). We could not find such evidence for NervoMax itself.

In practice

How is NervoMax meant to be used day to day?

Four plain steps, from the bottle to your notebook.

  1. 01

    Read the label first

Check the safety seal, the caution and the expiry date of 07-2028 before the first capsule.

  2. 02

Swallow with 8 oz of water

The label says 1 or 2 capsules daily with an 8 oz glass of water. It names no time of day.

  3. 03

    Nine ingredients, one blend

Each 2-capsule serving holds 600 mg in total. The share of each ingredient is not printed.

  4. 04

    Log symptoms, see your doctor

Write down where and how often you tingle. Ongoing numbness needs a cause found by a clinician.

Full directions, timing ideas and storage tips are on the how to use NervoMax page.

The formula

What is the idea behind the NervoMax blend?

The idea is a little of many things. NervoMax mixes two B vitamins, two memory herbs, three plant extracts and two kitchen ingredients into one 600 mg blend.

U.S. labels list blend ingredients from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36). Himalayan pink salt comes first, so salt is the largest single part. If the 600 mg were split evenly, each ingredient would get about 67 mg. The real shares are not published.

About the blend name

The label calls it the "Test Boost Proprietary Blend." Nothing else on the bottle mentions hormones, and the label does not explain the name. We treat it as a name only.

One more oddity. FDA's labeling guide says ingredients with Daily Values, such as vitamins B6 and B12, are normally listed with their own amounts (FDA, Labeling guide). NervoMax lists both inside the blend. So the label does not print the B6 or B12 amount.

Ingredient groups

What is each ingredient group supposed to do, and what is known?

NervoMax ingredient groups: the usual selling point next to what studies of each ingredient alone found
GroupSold forWhat is known
B vitamins: B6 and B12Nerve healthB12 helps nerve symptoms only if you are low (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12). Too much B6 can cause numbness (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Cochrane found the evidence for B vitamins in neuropathy insufficient (Cochrane, B vitamins).
Memory herbs: bacopa and ginkgoMemory and focusBacopa gave small gains in attention speed after 12 weeks at 300-450 mg a day (Kongkeaw et al., 2014). Ginkgo did not prevent dementia in 3,069 older adults (DeKosky et al., 2008).
Plant extracts: lutein, bilberry, green teaEyes, circulation, antioxidantsLutein had no effect on thinking in AREDS2 (AREDS2 cognition, 2015). Bilberry has not been clearly shown to help any condition (NCCIH, Bilberry). Green tea extract is linked to rare liver injury (NCCIH, Green tea).
Kitchen ingredients: pink salt and cinnamonMinerals, blood sugarPink salt is mostly sodium; meaningful minerals would take over 30 g a day (Fayet-Moore et al., 2020). Cinnamon's blood-sugar evidence is unclear (NCCIH, Cinnamon).

None of these studies tested NervoMax. Each tested one ingredient alone. The full list is on the ingredients page.

By the numbers

How does a 600 mg blend compare with study doses?

Two charts: the B6 benchmarks, and the whole blend next to single-ingredient study doses.

Vitamin B6 benchmarks, mg a day

Adult RDA1.7 mg
EU upper level12 mg
Australia label warning10 mg
U.S. upper limit100 mg

(NIH ODS, Vitamin B6)

One 600 mg blend vs single-ingredient study doses

Whole NervoMax blend600 mg
Bacopa studies300 mg
Ginkgo (GEM)240 mg
Bilberry extracts160 mg

(StatPearls, Bacopa)

Vitamin B6 benchmarks come from the NIH fact sheet (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6) and Australia's TGA (TGA, B6 alert 2022). NervoMax does not print its B6 amount, so you cannot place it on the first chart. The second chart shows that three of the nine ingredients alone, at study doses, would need most of the whole blend.

Bacopa, ginkgo and bilberry at their study doses would add up to 700 mg. That is more than the whole blend, before counting salt and five other ingredients. So the plant parts are almost surely below the doses that were studied.

Key safety fact

Why does vitamin B6 matter so much in NervoMax?

Vitamin B6 is the one ingredient that can cause the very symptoms NervoMax is sold for. Your body needs a little, about 1.3 to 1.7 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Too much over time can cause sensory nerve damage: numbness and tingling.

In the U.S., the upper limit sits at 100 mg a day. Europe set 12 mg a day in 2023 (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Australia has reports of nerve damage below 50 mg a day (TGA, B6 alert 2022). B6 also adds up across B-complexes, multivitamins and some magnesium products.

The B6 amount is not printed

Because NervoMax does not show its B6 amount, you cannot add it to your other products. Ask the maker and your doctor. If tingling gets worse after you start, stop and see a doctor.

Limits

What can NervoMax not do?

NervoMax cannot find or fix the cause of your symptoms. It is a dietary supplement, not a drug, and not a treatment for neuropathy, diabetes or sciatica.

  • It cannot rebuild damaged nerves. No study shows that for NervoMax.
  • It cannot replace a blood sugar check, a B12 blood test or a foot exam.
  • It cannot undo nerve damage from too much B6. Stopping the extra B6 is what helps (Muhamad et al., 2023).

Numbness and tingling have many causes: diabetes, low B12, too much B6, alcohol, medicines, carpal tunnel, MS and stroke (NINDS, Neuropathy). Call 911 for numbness with weakness, confusion, slurred speech, vision changes or loss of bladder or bowel control (MedlinePlus, Numbness).

Before you start

What should you check before your first NervoMax capsule?

  1. Your own diagnosis. Know why you tingle before adding a supplement.
  2. Your total vitamin B6 from every product you take.
  3. Your medicines, especially blood thinners, metformin and acid reducers.
  4. The bottle: an intact seal, the lot number and the expiry date.

FAQ

How NervoMax works: common questions

How does NervoMax work?

No one has shown how NervoMax works, because no study of the product exists. Its label promises support for healthy nerve function. It holds a 600 mg blend of nine ingredients, and each one was studied alone at doses the label does not let you check.

What is in NervoMax?

NervoMax holds a 600 mg blend per 2 capsules: Himalayan pink salt, cinnamon, bacopa, lutein, bilberry leaf, vitamin B6, ginkgo, vitamin B12 and green tea extract. The capsule fillers are rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica dioxide. No single ingredient amount is printed.

What is the Test Boost Proprietary Blend in NervoMax?

It is the label's name for the 600 mg mix of all nine NervoMax ingredients. The label does not explain the name, and nothing else on the bottle mentions hormones. A proprietary blend shows only one total weight, so you cannot see how much of each ingredient you get.

Can NervoMax fix nerve damage?

No. NervoMax is a dietary supplement, and no study shows it rebuilds or heals nerves. Nerve damage needs a cause found, such as diabetes, low B12 or too much B6. A clinician can test for these and suggest treatment that has evidence behind it.

Is NervoMax a drug or a supplement?

NervoMax is a dietary supplement, not a drug. FDA does not review supplements for safety or results before they are sold. The label's claims carry a star pointing to the standard statement that they were not evaluated by FDA and that the product is not meant to treat any disease.

Who makes NervoMax?

The label names the brand as Vitalifes. The images we have show no manufacturer or distributor address. This website is run by Nervomax, an authorized U.S. retailer, not by the maker. For order questions, call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480.
