Proprietary Blends: What the NervoMax Label Shows and What It Hides
A proprietary blend lists one total weight and the ingredient names, from most to least by weight, with no single amounts. NervoMax prints a 600 mg "Test Boost Proprietary Blend" of nine ingredients. Split evenly, each would be about 67 mg, but the real shares are not published, and vitamin B6 has no printed amount.

The basics
What is a proprietary blend on a supplement label?
A proprietary blend is a group of ingredients sold under one name with one total weight. The label tells you what is inside, but not how much of each. With supplements, the dose decides both what an ingredient might do and how safe it is.
NervoMax puts all nine active ingredients in one blend. The table types out the Supplement Facts panel.
| Blend name | Test Boost Proprietary Blend |
|---|---|
| Total weight | 600 mg |
| Single amounts | Not published for any of the nine |
| Daily Value | *Daily Value Not Established |
The label calls it the "Test Boost" blend. The bottle does not explain that name.
The rules
How must a proprietary blend be labeled?
A blend must show its total weight and list its ingredients in descending order by weight (21 CFR 101.36). That is all the panel must say about each one.
FDA's labeling guide adds a detail. Ingredients with a Daily Value, such as vitamins, are normally listed on their own lines with their own amounts (FDA, Labeling guide). NervoMax lists vitamins B6 and B12 inside the blend. We do not call that illegal. We only report it: the label does not print the B6 or B12 amount.
To be fair, the label does name all nine ingredients, prints the order and total weight, and shows a lot and expiry date.
On the bottle
Where is the blend on the NervoMax label?

- Supplement Facts
The panel every U.S. supplement must carry. It lists the serving and what is in it.
- Serving size 2
Two capsules per serving and 30 servings: 60 capsules, about 30 days at 2 a day.
- Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 600 mg
One total for nine ingredients. The label does not explain the name.
- Himalayan pink salt first
Blend ingredients run from most to least by weight, so salt is the largest part.
- Bacopa monnieri (20%)
The 20% is the extract's standard, not its share of the blend.
- Vitamin B6, no amount
B6 normally needs its own amount. Too much B6 can cause numbness and tingling.
- Vitamin B12, no amount
Shown as cyanocobalamin 1%. Its amount per serving is not printed.
- Green tea extract (50%)
Concentrated extracts are linked to rare liver injury.
- Daily Value not established
No %DV is shown for any blend ingredient, including the two vitamins.
- Other ingredients
Rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica dioxide: capsule fillers and flow agents.
What you can learn
What does the order of ingredients tell you?
Order sets a ceiling on every line. Each ingredient can weigh no more than the ones above it. So the third one shares 600 mg with at least two heavier ones, and can be at most 200 mg.
| Position | Ingredient | Most it could be |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Himalayan pink salt | 600 mg (and at least 67 mg) |
| 2 | Cinnamon extract | 300 mg |
| 3 | Bacopa | 200 mg |
| 4 | Lutein | 150 mg |
| 5 | Bilberry leaf powder | 120 mg |
| 6 | Vitamin B6 | 100 mg |
| 7 | Ginkgo | 86 mg |
| 8 | Vitamin B12 | 75 mg |
| 9 | Green tea extract | 67 mg |
Bacopa trials used 300-450 mg a day (StatPearls, Bacopa), above bacopa's ceiling here. The GEM ginkgo trial used 240 mg a day (DeKosky et al., 2008), nearly three times ginkgo's ceiling.
The math
How much of each ingredient is in NervoMax if split evenly?
About 67 mg each: 600 mg divided by nine. That is the fairest guess, but not the real split. Salt comes first, so it is the largest part.
Bacopa at 300 mg and ginkgo at 240 mg would fill 540 mg alone. The salt listed above both would not fit.
The key gap
Why does a hidden B6 amount matter?
Too much vitamin B6 can cause numbness and tingling, the very symptoms NervoMax is sold for (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Adults need only 1.3-1.7 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). From label order, NervoMax could hold a trace or up to 100 mg per serving. Australia's regulator has seen nerve problems below 50 mg a day (TGA, B6 alert 2022).
B6 adds up across B-complexes, multivitamins and some magnesium tablets. Ask for the NervoMax number, show it to your doctor, and stop if tingling gets worse.
Before you buy
What should you ask about a proprietary blend?
Ask for numbers in writing. The label names the brand as Vitalifes and prints no maker address in our images. For an order placed through this site, start with the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480.

FAQ
Proprietary blend questions people ask
What is the Test Boost Proprietary Blend in NervoMax?
It is the single 600 mg blend holding all nine NervoMax ingredients per 2 capsules. Himalayan pink salt is listed first and green tea extract last, with no single amounts. The bottle does not explain the name "Test Boost" anywhere else.
How much vitamin B6 is in a NervoMax serving?
The label does not print it. B6 sits sixth in the 600 mg blend, so it could be anywhere up to 100 mg per 2 capsules. Ask the seller for the number and add it to the B6 in your other vitamins.
Can you tell how much of each ingredient is in a blend?
Not exactly, but you can set limits. The first ingredient is the largest, and each later one weighs no more than the one above it. In NervoMax, bacopa, third on the list, can be at most 200 mg, and likely less.
Is bacopa in NervoMax at a clinical dose?
It cannot reach the trial dose. Bacopa is third in a 600 mg blend, so it weighs at most 200 mg. Trials used 300-450 mg a day for 12 weeks or more. The real amount is not published, so ask.
Is a proprietary blend allowed on a supplement label?
Yes, when the label shows the total weight and lists ingredients by weight. FDA's guide says vitamins with Daily Values are normally listed separately with amounts. NervoMax lists vitamins B6 and B12 inside the blend without their amounts.
What should I ask before buying a supplement with a proprietary blend?
Ask for the milligrams of each ingredient with a known safety limit, starting with vitamin B6. Then ask about B12, the herbs and a lab report for your lot. Get the answers in writing and show them to your doctor.
